I cook the Indian food I grew up on and the high protein weeknight food I taught myself in a broke college kitchen. 2.1 million people on TikTok watch me do it.

The food from home and the food from college. I post both, and the second one is why the first one now reaches two million people a week.
I was born in India and learned this food by watching my parents make it, years before I cooked any of it myself.
Cheap, fast, and heavy on protein, because that is what I could afford to eat every day.
Every one carries its protein and its calorie count on screen, so you know what you are cooking before you start.

I grew up on my parents’ cooking and on every cooking show I could find, and I made none of it myself. Then I got to college broke. Broke enough that going out with friends meant sitting at the table and ordering nothing, then going home to cook for one.
I got good at it because I had to. Cheap ingredients, short cook times, and enough protein to actually hold me until the next meal. In December 2019 I started posting what I was eating on TikTok. The videos found an audience fast, and the audience turned out to want the same thing I did: a real dinner, on a weeknight, with the numbers stated up front.
Six years later the recipes and the videography are the job. The Indian food I grew up on sits on the same feed as the rice bowls, and both of them get the same treatment.
